This provision arises after the review of Resolution No. DGM-006-2023, issued on November 15, 2023, which established a fee of RD$200.00 per vehicle upon entering the national territory through the formal border crossings of Pedernales, Jimaní, Elías Piña and Dajabón, as well as through other authorized crossings.
The DGM explained that this measure responds to the institutional commitment to facilitate and strengthen commercial activities in the border area, in the context of the current sociopolitical situation affecting the Republic of Haiti, a country with which the border provinces maintain significant economic exchange.
