DGM celebrates International Women's Day with conferences and activities for female collaborators
The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) held an emotional and enriching activity for the female staff of the institution, on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day.
The events began with the raising of the National Flag, to the sound of the national anthem performed by the Ministry of Defense's band, and then an important talk was offered divided into two parts: "From Obesity to Bariatric Surgery", given by Dr. Onelio Tejeda, general surgeon, endoscopist and specialist in bariatric surgery, and "Bring Out the Old Woman in You", given by Dr. Arcadio Villegas, plastic surgeon, aesthetic surgeon, mammologist and gyneco-aesthetician.
The activities were coordinated by Mrs. Patricia Núñez de Lee, wife of Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, ARD, head of the DGM, and organized by the Human Resources Directorate, headed by Colonel Belkis Asian, PN, the words of motivation were given by Deputy Director General Ely Encarnación.
Attendees also enjoyed raffles for beauty treatments, including facial cleansing, cold laser hair removal and beauty kits. In addition, renowned artist Grissel Báez, former member of Las Chicas del Can, offered a special presentation.
The event reaffirmed the institution's commitment to the well-being and appreciation of its female talent.
