Lee Ballester and Dío Astacio share views on immigration issues in support of SDE.
SANTO DOMINGO.- The Director General of Migration, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, ARD, met in his office with the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dío Astacio, to share views and coordinate possible solutions to the concerns of residents in that district related to migration issues.
During the meeting, Mayor Astacio addressed the issues raised by representatives of the district's Neighborhood Councils, which had been presented to the Security, Citizenship, and Gender Roundtable. The head of the DGM, for his part, expressed his willingness to engage in inter-institutional collaboration and proposed working collaboratively with municipal authorities to provide positive responses to any initiative that creates a safer, more organized, and harmonious environment for residents.
Also participating in the meeting were Rear Admiral Juan Gilberto Núñez Abreu (ARD), Director of Immigration Control, and Colonel Manuel A. Carrasco Guerrero, ERD, National Interdiction Coordinator of the DGM.
