Migration collaborators plant more than two thousand plants
The event was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment.
Santo Domingo._ In order to raise awareness among the collaborators of the General Directorate of Migration and contribute to the environment, more than two thousand trees of different species were planted on the Ecological Avenue in Santo Domingo Este.
Cedar, Guayacan, Mara, Alseno, were some of the trees that were planted with the aim of having an environment in which birds can live together and humans can breathe cleaner air.
The Director General of Migration, Vice Admiral Luis R. Lee Ballester (ARD) is committed not only to achieving a more humane, orderly and safe migration, but also to making his collaborators aware of the importance of the environment and the ecological care of the country.
The trees that were planted during the reforestation campaign were donated by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, an institution that highlighted the importance of each citizen contributing to the ecosystem, as has been the guidance of President Luis Abinader.
Employees of the General Directorate of Migration have also participated in other actions aimed at protecting the environment and cooperating to have a pleasant ecosystem, in addition to participating in the cleaning of beaches and rivers.
