Punta Cana. _ Continuing to implement actions that reduce administrative corruption and promote transparency are part of the commitments made this Wednesday by the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) at the third International Congress on Government Integrity and Regulatory Compliance.
Among the measures that Migration will continue to develop is the completion of placing physical mailboxes in all departments, so that each employee can report irregular practices within the entity, a process that can be done anonymously.
Likewise, continue with actions aimed at reducing corruption practices and anti-bribery policies among employees to prevent them from taking money from citizens. In this regard, the DGM is seeking international certification.
The Migration Ethics Commission participated with General Director Venancio Alcántara in the international congress of the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity, headed by Milagros Ortiz Bosch, who called for ensuring citizens' trust in institutions.
Alcántara was emphatic in pointing out that the DGM must continue to comply with resolutions 05 - 2024 on the installation of mailboxes and 06 - 2024 on training to eradicate bribery and corruption.
