The DGM detains 70 undocumented Haitian immigrants for deportation purposes.

The detainees were 40 men, 22 women, and eight minors who accompanied them. They were apprehended during operations in the Macedonia, Pueblo Nuevo, El Matadero, Las Quinientas, La 40, El Tres, and Cumajón sectors of this municipality and transferred to the Haina reception center, where, prior to deportation to their country of origin, they are processed in accordance with the legal framework and with respect for their fundamental rights and dignity.
The interdiction campaigns, led by DGM immigration agents, are carried out in coordination with members of the Dominican Army (ERD), the Dominican Navy (ARD), the Dominican Air Force (FARD), the National Police (PN), the Ciudad Tranquila Joint Task Force (CIUTRAN), the Public Prosecutor's Office, and the DIGESSETT (Digest of the Dominican Republic).
The DGM warned that it will maintain its comprehensive immigration policy, in accordance with the provisions of Law 285-04, the mandate of the nation's Defense and Security Council, and the directives of President Luis Abinader.
He also emphasized the importance of safeguarding national security and sovereignty through safe and orderly work that contributes to the well-being of the population, and management that promotes a safe and fair immigration environment.
