The DGM honors female employees for Mother's Day
Cita de departamento de comunicaciones en mayo 22, 2025, 4:16 pmSANTO DOMINGO.- The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) held a moving celebration in honor of the institution's female staff on the occasion of Mother's Day and in recognition of the fundamental role they play both in the workplace and at home.
The event was led by the head of the institution, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, ARD, who was accompanied by his wife, Patricia Núñez de Lee. Also present was the deputy director general, Ely Encarnación.
The celebration was organized by the Human Resources Department and its team, under the coordination of Colonel Belkis Asiático Almonte, PN, director of the area, who took care of every detail to offer a special experience to all the mothers of the institution.
During the event, those present enjoyed a pleasant, joyful atmosphere, live music by talented saxophonist and sailor Brenda Castillo López, ARD, and a special appearance by Mariachi Alegría of the Dominican Navy. Snacks were also offered and beauty products and accessories were raffled off.
In his remarks, Vice Admiral Lee Ballester expressed that “being a mother is the greatest gift a woman can receive. It is a privilege that requires dedication, strength, unconditional love, and wisdom. Therefore, today we want to honor them and thank them for their dedication both at home and in this institution.”
The event was a show of appreciation and celebration for the mothers who are part of the extended family of the Directorate General of Migration, recognizing their efforts, commitment, and human sensitivity.
