General Directorate of Immigration expedites approval of permits for minors to travel

Citizens do not have to go to the institution to pick up the permits because they are received through the profile created and by email.

Santo Domingo, RD- The General Directorate of Immigration (DGM) accelerates the approvals of certifications that authorize trips for minors who go on vacation outside the country with one of the parents, a family member or a friend.

At this time of year when the number of people sending their children on vacation abroad for school holidays increases, requests increase, so the population is asked to complete their procedures on time.

Approvals are made within 48 business hours, after the citizen uploads the required documents on the website and deposits them at the different positions of the Migration Certifications department, located in the National District, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Punta Cana.

Citizens do not have to go to the institution to pick up the permits because they arrive through the profile created and through the email selected by the user. The collaborators of the General Directorate of Immigration who review and authorize expedite the approvals of applications work as quickly as possible.

Minor permits are valid for 90 days, so they do not have to wait for the proximity of their trip to obtain departure certification, or even have the flight purchased.
