Immigration Director supervises final work at interdiction center

Venancio Alcántara also visited the Cibao Airport to verify the work of the inspectors.

Santo Domingo. _ Surprisingly, the General Director of Immigration, Venancio Alcántara, went to the interdiction center being built by the institution in the city of Santiago to verify the final touches to the structure for hosting foreigners in an irregular condition.

   Alcántara supervised the progress of the work that seeks to accommodate undocumented immigrants in the Dominican Republic while they go through their process prior to deportation from the country of origin or from which they came.

   As in Santiago, the General Directorate of Migration is building another 4 centers, which are also in the completion phase. One was raised in Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní and Benerito, in Higüey.

   Each of the premises is suitable to guarantee cleanliness, comfort, security and tranquility that foreigners deserve.

   Visit to Cibao Airport.

   Mr. Venancio Alcántara took advantage of the trip to Santiago to verify the work of the DGM inspectors at the Cibao International Airport, whom he congratulated for the work they do in verifying the entry and exit of citizens.

   He urged them to continue their work in accordance with ethics and in accordance with the provisions of law 285-04 and its implementing regulations, decree 631-11.
