US federal agency awards DGM director recognition

The award was presented by USMS Director Ronald Davis in gratitude for “his valuable partnership with the United States Marshals Service to promote public safety, security and justice.”
The head of the DGM received the plaque during a courtesy visit made by the American official, who was accompanied by Melissa Hyatt and Jacobo Green, deputy directors of the USMS. Silvestre del Rosario, deputy regional chief attaché, and Sasha Zacarías, research supervisor, also participated.
Vice Admiral Lee Ballester was accompanied by Rear Admiral Juan Gilberto Núñez, ARD, Director of Immigration Control; Captain of the Navy Wander Almonte, ARD, Director of Intelligence; Laura Maríñez, Legal Director; Colonel Manuel Carrasco, ERD, in charge of Immigration Interdiction; Frigate Captain Esteban González, ARD, Assistant Director; Frigate Captain Loweski Mercedes Pilar, in charge of Impediments, and Corvette Captain Patricio Hernández, in charge of Deportations of the DGM.
The USMS is a federal agency that, among other responsibilities, is responsible for the search and capture of fugitives, the management of criminal assets, the administration of the United States federal witness protection program, and the transportation of prisoners and foreigners in the custody of the judicial system.
The DGM maintains a policy of collaboration with national and international intelligence agencies and security bodies with a view to the joint, combined and inter-agency fight against international criminals and people linked to human trafficking and smuggling.
