SANTO DOMINGO.- The General Directorate of Migration has made it easier for users interested in depositing documents and carrying out immigration procedures by extending its business hours and offering a more agile, timely and efficient service.

The agency responsible for the entry, stay and exit of people into the national territory said that the new measure is part of the continuous improvement program and seeks to meet in a timely manner the requirements and demands of foreigners and nationals who require immigration procedures.

The new schedule, which is already in effect, extends services from eight in the morning until eight at night, Monday through Friday at the central office, located on the 30 de Mayo highway at the corner of Héroes de Luperón, in the National District; it will remain in effect until May 24.

“These extended hours are to offer greater flexibility to users who cannot carry out their business during regular hours. With this action we reaffirm our commitment to improve attention and optimize service to users,” says the DGM.

The services available correspond to the Immigration Office and consist of receiving documents, procedures and assistance with any concerns regarding immigration processes.

The DGM recommends that its users arrive with enough time to complete their procedures, make sure they have all the required documentation on hand and review the requirements beforehand through the institution’s official website, www.migracion.gob.do .
