Santo Domingo, RD.- During an Immigration Interdiction operation, agents of the General Directorate
of Migration in coordination with military personnel and members of the National Police, arrested 404
Illegal Haitian nationals, who moved in the streets of Bávaro, La Altagracia province
without any identity documents.
During the actions, 378 men and 26 women were interdicted, in the Friusa, Mata
Mosquitos, El Ejecutivo, Cabeza de Toro, Villa La Fé, Kosovo and La Cristinita, as well as in Los
Manantiales, Villa Playwood, Villa Progreso and El Cortecito, who, when seized, did not carry
any type of documents that prove your regular immigration status in the Dominican Republic to
travel as a foreigner
In addition, nine motorcycles on which they were traveling without proper documentation were seized,
among other belongings, while the arrested and seized objects were transferred to the Center for
Reception and Detention of Haina, in the province of San Cristobal, to start the purification process
and repatriation.
The operations in the eastern part of the country were coordinated by the person in charge of the Department of
Immigration Interdiction, Colonel Emiliano de los Santos Quezada, where the
illegal aliens, with the participation of the Army of the Dominican Republic, the Navy, the Air Force
and the National Police.
The general director of the institution, Venancio Alcántara, assured that today more than ever the institution
is committed to guaranteeing national security, appreciating the work against the migratory flow
irregular, which increasingly strengthens the sovereignty of the country.
He recalled that migration interdiction operations are carried out routinely and persistently
throughout the national geography, in accordance with the provisions of the superior government of President Luis
Abinader, and in compliance with the immigration policies promoted by the Dominican State.

The governing institution of migration in the country, affirmed that it has a video as evidence of what
occurred, also warned that it will not accept alterations of the legal system in terms of
legal migration in the country.
