Migration repatriates 354 illegal Haitians arrested in La Altagracia

After the reinforcement of the migratory interdiction operations that are carried out in
Simultaneously, agents of the General Directorate of Migration, arrested 354 nationals
undocumented Haitians, who were immediately repatriated to their nation.

The operations in the province of La Altagracia were carried out in Bávaro, Mata Mosquito,
Cortecito, Villa Pleywood and Friusa (El Hoyo de Friusa), as well as at Cruce de Verón, La
Cristinita, The Pool, The Colors and The Springs.

Among the detainees are 345 men and 9 women, in addition two motorcycles were seized
without any type of documents, who when they were seized did not carry documentation of
identity to travel in the country, which were transferred to the Reception Center and
Detention of Haina, for the corresponding purposes.

The operations were carried out through a joint effort between agents of the Directorate
General of Migration, with the support of the Navy of the Dominican Republic, La Fuerza
Air Force and the National Police, coordinated by the Head of Immigration Interdiction at the
National, Colonel De los Santos Quezada Emiliano.

The General Directorate of Migration also indicated, through a press release, that the
actions will continue to be implemented throughout the national territory in a persistent and
simultaneous.

The institution under the management of Venancio Alcántara, reiterated that under no circumstances
will allow the movement of illegal aliens into the country, while recalling that by mandate
expressed by President Luis Abinader, are being implemented for the first time in history,
migration policies with transparency in public admiration in the Dominican Republic.
