Migration will certify airports, ports and border crossings under quality management standard

The institution was certified with ISO 9001: 2015

Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of Migration ( DGM ) will extend the certification of ISO 9001: 2015 to airports, ports and border crossings in the country, in order to improve the quality of services offered by the institution, in accordance with the international standards of the International Organization for Standardization.

The announcement was made by the head of the organization , Lieutenant General ® ERD , Máximo William Muñoz Delgado , during the certification of the Human Resources, Planning and Development, Administrative-Financial, Immigration, Legal Department and User Support Section  , under the aforementioned standard.

The certification was delivered by the Commercial Manager and ISO Auditor of the QSI International certification company , Celeste Acosta , during an event held at the headquarters of the DGM .

Upon receiving the Muñoz Delgado certificate, he stressed that “The certification of our processes under the ISO 9001 standard is a sign of the commitment to quality and continuous improvement, which is evident in the satisfaction of the needs of our users, the optimization of our operational performance and the commitment of our staff to the management of efficient internal processes . ”

On the other hand, the Director of Planning and Development of the DGM , Satcha Aguiar , reported that in the Dominican Republic there are 152 institutions, public and private certified under the quality management standard, of which 13 government have ISO 9001 certification: 2015 .

Officials and public servants of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) participated in the act of delivering the said certification .
