The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) in collaboration with members of the Armed Forces and the National Police, carried out several interdiction operations in the National District, Santo Domingo Este and Juan Dolio, with the aim of identifying undocumented foreigners to proceed with the application of the current immigration laws of the Dominican Republic.
These operations resulted in the arrest of 453 undocumented foreigners, of both sexes, who were transferred to the Haina Vacation Reception Center to be processed and subsequently redirected to their country of origin.
The General Directorate of Migration, directed by Mr. Enrique Garc铆a, reiterates its commitment to the Dominican people to enforce national migration legislation, always seeking respect for human rights and individual dignity.
