The international ISO 37001 certification includes a series of measures to prevent inappropriate conduct.

Santo Domingo. _ The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) goes through a rigorous and exhaustive process that manages the ISO 37001 international anti-bribery accreditation with the aim of avoiding, preventing, detecting and mitigating the risk of bribery and corruption in the institution.

Venancio Alcántara, Director General of Migration, explained that part of his commitment is to maintain ethical and integrity standards with the aim of strengthening transparency in all operations of the institution.

The Director of Planning and Development of the DGM, Juan Souffront, added that the instructions of the Director General are for Migration to continue with the improvements that have been implemented in the institution in charge of applying the national immigration policy, which are the guidelines of President Luis Abinader.

The Anti-Bribery Management System issued by the International Certification Organization (ISO) ensures the proper functioning of the system requirements and the continuous improvement of institutional processes through the prevention of bribery and unethical conduct.

The implementation of these rules seeks to prevent any inappropriate conduct that may be incurred by any employee, and establishes the procedures for sanctions, should it occur.
