Certification in which a parent or both authorize a Dominican or foreign minor with legal residence, to leave the national territory.

Requirements

1- If the minor travels with one of the parents, he must have the authorization of the other, protected by a notarized act duly legalized by the Attorney General’s Office, a document that will be submitted to the DGM together with the requirements detailed below in the points (a, b, c, d, e, f).

2- In the event that the minor travels with a third person or the airline, both parents must authorize the minor through a notarized act duly legalized by the Attorney General’s Office, which will take the General Directorate of Migration along with the requirements which are detailed later in the points (a, b, c, d, e, f).

3- If one or both parents are abroad, you must go to the nearest Dominican Consulate and request the Consular Power, authorizing the departure of the minor either alone or accompanied. You must apostille it in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then take Migration along with the requirements detailed below in points (a, b, c, d, e, f).

4- Even if one of the parents has custody or custody of the child, they must bring the travel authorization of the other parent or the travel authorization of the Court of Children and Adolescents (Decree 631-11)

a. Copy of the passport of the minor and his companion.
b. Copy of visa or residence of the minor and his companion.
C. Original and legalized birth certificate of the minor. If you are a foreigner (Copy)
d. 2 2×2 photos of the child’s front, recent.
and. Copy of the ID cards of the parents who authorize.
F. The exit permit has a cost of RD $ 2,000.00 for a minor and an additional RD $ 1,500.00 for each minor who are in the same document (Brothers), whose validity is 90 days from the date of issue.

5- If one of the parents has died, and the surviving father wishes to travel with the child, he must present at the airport, port or border point, the original death certificate legalized to confirm the filiation.

6- In case the child is declared only by the Mother:
to. If the child travels with the mother, they must only present a Legalized Original Birth Certificate.
b. In case of traveling alone or with a third person, the mother must authorize by means of a notarized act duly legalized by the Attorney General’s Office, which will take the General Directorate of Migration along with the requirements detailed in the points (a , B c d e f).

NOTE: Parents must sign the Power of Attorney with the signature on their identity and electoral card.

M-F | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (in season the schedule is extended until 6:00 p.m. due to the increase in demand)

CHILD DEPARTURE CERTIFICATION – RD$ 2,000.00 for a minor /

For each minor that is in the same document (Brothers) – RD$ 1,500.00

48 Horas. After physically depositing the required documents.

PRACTICAL TIPS PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THE PERMIT

I- Verify the validity of the documents, especially the identity card, passport and visa.
II- The child’s picture must be recent.
